Vananchal School of Nursing offers 1&1/2 year quality training programme of A.N.M. Training course which is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi (Govt. of India) and Jharkhand Nurses Registration Council, RIMS, Ranchi (Jharkhand) as well as recognized by the Ministry of Health & Family welfare, Govt. of Jharkhand.
1. To help in understanding the principles of healthful living related to all age groups in the community.
2. To help society deal in basic health care activities in community and Institutional settings.
3. Importance of Nutrition and health education activities in the home, clinic and community.
4. Explain & understand basic material and child health care including immunization services, family health care, and family planning services.
5. (i) Teach basic midwifery procedures and basic nursing techniques with special emphasis on domiciliary and home nursing procedures (health worker female).
(ii) Participate in prevention and control of communicable diseases; assist in execution of national health programmes; promote village and environmental sanitation; perform basic nursing techniques.
6. Develop skills in first-aid and emergency nursing care, elementary medical care including treatment of minor ailments.
7. Lead & motivate as a responsible member of the health team.
8. To understand and develop Community resources which could be utilized for health promotion, health maintenance, and prevention of disease.
9. Develop training module for the training of community/village level health worker.
10. Promote community development activities.

The School has got excellent infrastructure to provide quality education. Spacious room with modern furniture and audio visual aid are available for attentive classes. The laboratories are well equipped with modern facilities. The School is functioning in the form of network office administration with the help of online information system. Besides games, canteen, recreation room, health centre and cyber cafe, transportation facilities includes well maintained school buses are also available for our student's need.
Faculties are the main pillar of any School. Realizing this fact, the School has appointed senior and well qualified faculty members who are expertise in their respective field. The full time faculty members are available in the School. The principal & faculty members stay in School campus and are in the regular interaction with the students even after the teaching hours.
The laboratories are well equipped with adequate number of scientific instrument so that each student can get full exposure & chance to handle them. Computer interference with related equipments are emphasized during course.
Books are life blood of any educational system. They are treasure of knowledge and must be use effectively. The school library has adequate number of books, journals (Indian & Foreign), Supplements & other learning material for students. Internet connectivity and online information sources are also available. Xerox machine/ Fax machine and computers are available in library use.
Vananchal Dental College & Hospital has been tied-up with 300- bedded District / Sadar Hospital, Garhwa (Jharkhand) to provide necessary training facilities to all the concerned students of the College.
Admission for A.N.M. Nursing is subject to the following schedule :-
1. April Batch 30 nos.
2. October Batch 20 nos.
The admission process starts in March for April Batch and in September for October batch respectively every year.
Course Duration : -
The Nursing courses are of 18 months duration. There will be an examination after the completion of the course conducted by Jharkhand Nursing Registration Council, Ranchi.

Eligibility : -
The candidate must have passed 10th or Matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Council and must have obtained 45% marks. Appearing candidate may also apply but their candidature shall only be valid when they obtain minimum pass marks in examination before counseling.
The candidate must attain the minimum age of 15 years on or before 31- Dec of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
Medical Fitness :-
Admission is subject to satisfactory of medical examination report.
Selection process :-
1. There shall be an Entrance examination conducted by the institution. The standard of the entrance examination shall be of the level of 10th. The pattern of question will be of multiple choices (objective type).
2. Candidate short listed on the basis of written examination in accordance with Merit list, Candidate shall have to appear at the 1st round of counseling. A second round of counseling may be held for candidates listed in waiting list provided that there seats vacant after the 1st round of counseling.

Propectus and Application Form
The details for admission test and application form would be available at the institution counter, Kutchery Road, Garhwa, Jharkhand - 822114 for Rs. 250/- in cash. An application form can also be obtained through post by sending an application with the candidate's postal detail and contact no. on the School address along with the bank draft of Rs. 300/- in favour of Vananchal School of Nursing payable at Garhwa or as per the notification of the Institution time to time.
1. Incomplete application form will not be accepted.
2. In case a candidate is found to have given false information to the School, candidate will not be admitted or the admission will be cancelled if already admitted.
3. Self attested photocopy of the documentary evidence of the date of the birth such as Class Xth pass certificate should be enclosed with the application.
4. Candidate shall submit application with five passport size recent self attested photographs.
5. Medical Fitness Certificate.
6. Candidate shall submit self attested photocopy of all the necessary documents of their academic qualification required for selection.
The students are expected to follow the rules and regulation of the institution as lay from time to time. Attendance requirement is minimum 70% in each subject. Disciplinary action may be initiated against those students who violate norms. It is expected that students maintain proper decorum while in School campus. No group or union will be allowed to function, which has political affiliation. Caste, creed religion etc. will not be a source of any function.
Act of Indiscipline and Misconduct
Any act of misconduct committed by a student inside or outside the campus will be an act of violation of discipline of the School and will include -
1. Disruption of teaching, study, examination or administrative work, curricular or extra curricular activity or residential life of the member of the School.
2. Damaging or defacing School property or the property of the members of the School or any other property inside or outside the School.
3. Use of abusive or intimidatory language or incitement of violence.
4. Ragging of any student in any form.
5. Eve teasing or disrespectful behavior to elders, women or girl Students / Staff / Teachers.
6. Committing forgery, tempering with or misuse of the School documents or records, identification card etc.
7. Using or processing alcoholic or dangerous drugs.
8. Possessing or using any weapon such as knife, chains, iron roads, sticks, explosive and fire arms in hostel or School premise.
9. Any offence under law.
Any other act or acts which may be considered by the management, principal or the disciplinary committee to be an act of violation of discipline.
(a) Written warning and information to guardian/parent.
(b) Fine will be charged as decided by the School disciplinary committee.
(c) Suspension / expulsion, from the department / hostel / library and the School.
(d) Debarring from examination, participation in sports.
(e) Recovery of pecuniary loss caused to the person so affected and the School property.
(f) Information to law enforcing authority.
If at any stage during course of study of student, it is found to the subject satisfaction of the School authorities that:
1. A student has secured admission on the basis of false certificate, mark sheet or on the basis of any other illegal means, his or her admission will be summarily cancelled and all fee paid will be forfeited. This will be without prejudice to any other action which the School may take against such student.
2. The conduct of the student of the School is not satisfactory or indiscipline.
3. He indulges in ragging of the students of the School.
4. The activity of the student is such to be determined to the interest of the School.
Honorable Civil Court, Garhwa (Jharkhand) will only be the legal jurisdiction in case of any dispute or legal action.
